In skincare, "organic" refers to ingredients grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers — similar to how it works in food. Like "natural," it's not automatically a sign of better performance or gentleness but it does speak to how an ingredient was farmed. Worth noting: "organic" is a regulated term in food but less consistently regulated in cosmetics across different countries.
