sahlo began with two friends, Louise and Sarah, who’ve known each other for over 25 years.
We’ve grown up together, raised our families side by side, and both have tweens and teens who are very much part of the sahlo journey. They’ve tested our products, given honest feedback and genuinely love using them, this told us we were building something that mattered.
For years, we’ve watched young people reach for skincare that didn’t quite fit.
Some formulas were too harsh. Some were too complicated. Some visually looked cool but didn’t support young changing skin
So we created sahlo — a range that finally brings both worlds together

Louise
Louise lives in Hamilton with her husband and their two children - a tween son and a teenage daughter. She has worked with tweens and teens for over 25 years, including 23 years owning and running a dance studio.
An entrepreneur at heart, Louise started her first business at just 18 years old. She also co-owns AJDA (American Jazz Dance Affiliation), mentoring dance students, teachers, and studio owners across New Zealand. With decades of experience building businesses and supporting young people to grow in confidence, Louise brings deep insight into this age group - along with a creative vision for sahlo. -
Sarah
Sarah lives in Tauranga with her husband and two girls - one being in her tween era. Sarah’s background is in finance, working across a mix of large global corporations and fast growing start-ups.
Sarah brings strong commercial expertise, strategic thinking, and financial clarity to sahlo, ensuring the business is built on solid foundations and set up to grow sustainably.
